The details of the Portsmouth Film Festival 2009 have just been announced. The event will run from 3rd to the 11th of October and include features, shorts, local premiers, projections and world cinema showing across a diverse range of venues in Portsmouth including No6 & No3 Cinema’s, New Theatre Royal, Southsea Common, The Big Screen, Gunwharf Quays, Fat Fox, Little Johnny Russels and Space Gallery.

Confirmed highlights of the 4th Portsmouth Film Festival include a drive-in movie on Southsea Common with Europe’s largest screen, a look at the issue of sustainability with award winning documentaries The Age of Stupid and End of the Line; Question and Answer Sessions with Directors of presented Films ,world cinema screenings covering the subject of life and death, finals of the Submissions Competition, The Italian Job and the premier of Salomé with its new live musical accompaniment. Plus outdoor projections, film and art installations, including early Indian Film in Movieplex, Portsmouth based pop/music videos and sing-along-musical on The Big Screen. Plus you can submit your own films too!
