Portsmouth’s Art Space is holding an open studio weekend starting today and ending on Sunday. Art Space has supported and promoted contemporary art and artists through the provision of high quality, affordable studio space since it was formed by graduates of the then Portsmouth School of Art in 1980. There are currently 29 versatile studios located at the converted Brougham Road Chapel in Southsea and an ever-growing membership of some 45 artists. Projects and activities include classes and courses, residencies, exhibitions and annual sponsored studio awards. This weekends activities are as follows:

Art Space’s Cabinet of Curiosities is located in the foyer and is an opportunity to purchase small, affordable art works, so be sure to check that out too.
