Portsmouth’s vibrant alternative music scene is set to ignite once more as Night Currents Festival returns for its third edition on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Hosted at the iconic Wedgewood Rooms and its adjoining space, The Edge of the Wedge, this one-day indoor festival promises a day filled with the UK’s most exciting indie-pop, post-punk, and alternative acts.
One of Night Currents’ standout features is its thoughtfully curated schedule, ensuring zero performance clashes across its two stages. Perfect for those who want to experience every act without the stress of having to navigate clash finder.
Leading the line up are co-headliners Swim School and Honeyglaze.

Swim School, an Edinburgh-based indie rock band formed in 2018, is known for their blend of indie rock and pop, drawing influences from bands like Wolf Alice and Slowdive. Their energetic performances and emotive lyrics have garnered them a growing fanbase across the UK.
Honeyglaze, a South London trio formed in 2019, has been making waves with their unique sound that combines indie rock, post-punk, and math rock elements.


Other acts included in Mondays line announcement are Grandmas House, a queer punk trio and London-based Home Counties bring danceable indie rock to the south coast. As well as Alien Chicks, a post-punk power trio, blend rap, jazz, and math rock and emerging indie act Shtëpi, a five-piece art-punk band, who are known for their chaotic live shows that will certainly get the attention of the crowd.
