Hand Pulled Haiku Exhibition At King’s Ship This Weekend

Opening tomorrow evening at the King’s Ship studio local illustrator, designer and printmaker Christian Bennett will be showing off his artistic talents in an exhibition of screenprints.

Christian’s work takes inspiration from the haiku of Matsuo Basho. The 17th-century Japanese haiku master, was the most famous poet of the Edo period in Japan. Renowned for his Haikai no renga, a form of linked verses composed in collaboration.

The exhibition opens at 7pm and is open to all. Take a stroll down to the studio to check out the magnificent screen prints on offer. You will not be disappointed and there will be a very special collaboration piece for sale also. The evening will finish at 9pm but the artwork will remain on show at King’s Ship until the 29th July.

If you’d like to see some more of Christian’s work then you can follow him on Instagram @handpulledink.
