We are very excited to announce that this summer Southsea Common will be playing host to the brand new Southsea Comedy Festival. The headliner will be the internationally famous comedian Eddie Izzard. Fresh from selling out Madison Square Garden in New York, Eddie will be performing his current tour ‘Force Majeure’ on 31st July and 1st August.

The tour itself began in spring 2013 and upon completion Eddie will have visited over twenty five countries including USA, Africa, Australia, New Zealand and The Far East.

Southsea Comedy Festival will form part of the build up to the Southsea Show which will also be held on Southsea Common from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd August.

Doors for the Comedy Festival will open at 7pm, and the line-up for each show will include a variety of acts alongside Eddie Izzard’s full length show. The full line up for both events will be announced here on Strong Island very soon.
