PORTSMOUTH & SOUTHSEA'S No.1 for ARTS, CULTURE & LIFESTYLE

Hampshire Open Studios 2013

Hampshire Open Studios is an art event that has been running annually for quite a while (and also sometimes run in unison with Arts Trail events too). The event sees over the whole of Hampshire dozens and dozens of artist studios, galleries, potteries, jewellery workshops and more open up to the public, allowing people to explore workspaces and speak to the creatives about their work. The event also allows creatives to sell their work direct to the public, meaning all sales go to supporting the artist and helping the studio continue. Hampshire Open Studios is a great way of enabling people to discover both locally and all over the county new artists and designers, with an insight in to who they are, how they work and also the opportunity to support them and taker some great artwork home.

The event runs from Saturday 17th all the way through to the bank holiday Monday the 26th and printed guidebooks detailing all the studios involved are free to pick up in many local libraries, galleries and more plus you can find out details of all the studios at www.hampshireopenstudios.co.uk
