Portsmouth Festivities Presents Pompey Poetry Walk on Albert Road Tonight

One of the Portsmouth Festivities events we think sounds too good to miss is the Pompey Poetry Walk along Albert Road, organised by The Kings Theatre and Tongue & Groove. The guided walk along one of Portsmouth’s most famous streets is peppered with stops at interesting and unusual locations to stop and listen to local poets and discover many different voices and characters of Albert Road.

Featured poets include:

John Bocelli – ‘Who on Earth is Albert Road?’
Gareth Toms and Richard Pierce – ‘Pompey Pubs, Pompey People’
Maggie Sawkins – ‘Things to do Around Southsea’ (with Bernard MacDonaugh on button accordion)
Felicity Kay with Richard Williams – ‘Harbour Life’ and ‘Poems on the Run’

The walk starts at 7pm at THe Kings Theatre and costs only £4. Get in touch with The Kings Theatre about last minute bookings:
