PORTSMOUTH & SOUTHSEA'S No.1 for ARTS, CULTURE & LIFESTYLE

Cycle Fusion 2012

Portsmouth’s Community Fusion will be taking part in the 60 mile London-Brighton Night Ride 2012 this week to raise money for charity. Community Fusion is Portsmouth’s Youth Volunteer Service aiming to inspire and encourage young adults to make positive changes in their lives through volunteer projects in the local community. All money raised on this adventure will be split between Community Fusion and British Heart Foundation, the official organisers of the ride.

6 volunteers are taking part in the 60 mile night ride that starts on Clapham Common on Sunday 27th May at 00:00. Jenna Boyson CEO Community Fusion and friend Sam Cheek will be taking it one step further and pairing up on a tandem bike. The bike has not even been picked up yet but will be customised by Car Base, Farlington especially for Community Fusion just in time for the ride. Jenna and Sam completed a 58 mile ride last year and said “This ride will be so difficult for us. Not having had much training on the tandem and having to ride over night will the biggest challenge we have faced yet. We are so grateful of our fellow riders who will be by our side cheering us on! We would also like to thank all those who are sponsoring Team Fusion and have continued to support the charity.”

If you would like to know more about Community Fusion or would like to sponsor the team please contact Jenna Boyson – 02392 776827 or email jenna@community-fusion.org
