Off the back of the burgeoning Free Art Friday scene that has developed in Portsmouth recently, this coming Sunday the PCM (Portsmouth Creative Movement) are holding an open air exhibition showcasing some of the talents of artists, designers, photographers and crafts workers from the local area as well as some pupils of Chichester high school and even pieces from some of the major names in national and international street art.
Over 100 paintings, prints, sculptures and photographs will be displayed and given away for free to the unsuspecting public.
Freeartfriday was started in 2002 by Portsmouth’s My Dog Sighs and has steadily grown into an international movement with over 1500 active artists and was even recently featured on the BBC’s flagship arts program The Culture Show.
The exhibition starts at midday in an as yet undisclosed location in old Portsmouth. For more info visit the PCM Facebook page.
You never know, you might even cycle past it if you’re out and about on your bike.
If you would like to submit work for the exhibition/giveaway email My Dog Sighs mydogsighs@hotmail.co.uk
