Far off the beaten track but by no means forgotten North End offers a different experience for getting your retail fix. There are quite a few businesses that have been there for generations and a decent amount of independent shops offering a good range of products and service.

One such business is Christopher Shoes – Who first opened a shop at Cosham in 1910, three generations ago. In 1977 they opened a second shop at 122 Kingston Road, North End where they still remain. I used to buy my Dr Marten’s there about 15 years ago and they still offer a good range at great prices. This remains a family run business.
