PORTSMOUTH & SOUTHSEA'S No.1 for ARTS, CULTURE & LIFESTYLE

Durty Fundraiser at LJRs

D U R T Y 4 5 returns to LJRs for another party rocking night in aid of NO MORE DURTY WATER on Friday 16th December. Tunes you grew up with, wish you had and will always love. This is about great music, not guilty pleasures. Expect a party extravaganza with a soundtrack to rival most. Durty 45 djs play the finest selection of vinyl 45s. With special guests Ms Mono (Big Chill Bar) & Mark James (Soul 45)

Its not just about old classic 45s. The 7″ record has made a comeback, with labels like Sunday Best, Third Man Records, Wah Wah 45s and XL Recordings, to name a few, producing them. There is still some fascination with these shiny pieces of plastic.

No More Durty Water is a campaign to help provide safe and abundant water for the people of the world. Clean water is a basic human right and it is essential for the health of our species. Working closely with Bridge Of Hope Children’s Ministry to fund water based projects in Uganda.

2011 has been a very successful year for No More Durty Water, having raised enough money to pay for 2 rainwater harvesters, and a protected water spring. We are still hoping to raise enough for another protected water spring before the end of the year. Donations on the door. Please give Generously.
