The project has been overseen by Media Production lecturer Roy Hanney who describes it as an opportunity for students to work across disciplines and unleash their creative talents in their first year at the University. ..All the films were inspired by student work featured in the anthology Dreaming Beasts a spin-off from the Tongues Strings literary cabaret that was founded by English Department colleagues Hugh Dunkerley and Dave Swann. Roy Hanney asked his students to choose a poem from Dreaming Beasts and produce a short two-minute film that illustrated the poem.
