New Creatives Exhibition at Space Gallery

The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries at the University of Portsmouth commissioned two artists, Joe Ross and Jo Hummel-Newell, to work with six FE and 6th form colleges (Highbury, South Downs, St Vincent, Portsmouth, Fareham and Havant) for the Creative Campus New Creatives 2011 Project culminating in the exhibition of students creative works in SPACE and Eldon Gallery at the University of Portsmouth in January and February 2011.
This year’s theme was ‘Legacy’ and creative works are from a variety of creative disciplines, for example, visual art, music and sound, design, 3D sculpture, media and film, performing arts and theatre.
The Visual Libraries project has also collaborated with New Creatives 2011. It is a visual project that examines the creative use of sketchbooks in public libraries and educational institutions.
Exhibition is currently on until 11 February (open week days 10am – 4pm)
