Preview: End of the Road Festival 2022

Taking place in the enchanted Alice in Wonderland-esque Larmer Tree Gardens in Wiltshire, End of The Road is set to return this September and the ever-spellbinding festival has announced the first wave for its 2022 edition.

Always boasting one of the finest line-ups across the country and beyond, and constantly offering so much magic within its green woodland labyrinth overran by peacocks, End of the Road have shared that the likes of international psychedelic-funk trio Khuragnbin, Bright Eyes and Seattle indie-folksters Fleet Foxes will be accompanying in headline duties with the legendary Pixies.

Other highlights across the bill include Strong Island Recordings label alumni and international psychedelic-cumbia party outfit Los Bitchos, math-rock meets acid-jazz juggernauts black midi, Kurt Vile & The Violators and their serene psychedelic-folk, Aldous Harding, Kevin Morby cosmic-pop LA native Lael Neale of Sub Pop, the psychedelic-desert-blues sounds of both fantastic Les Filles de Illighadad and Tinariwen from the thriving Saharan desert-rock scene, techno-krautrock-noise-beasts Scalping as well as lots and lots more great stuff.

Reflecting on the last few years and looking ahead to September, festival co-founder Simon Taffe told the official website: “I’m beyond excited about our 2022 lineup, which features artists we’ve been asking to play since 2006 and includes some of the greatest songwriters of all time in my opinion. It really feels like this is the summer all festivals have been waiting for, a summer three years in the making for some. We have all been through a lot together and it feels good to be back, and to finally be able to dance with friends and artists from all over the world again.”

Check out the full line-up below and be sure to get a ticket as End of the Road is truly one of the finest times any music or art lover can have. You can read our previous review here if you need further convincing.
