Fundraising Feast from FoodCycle Portsmouth

FoodCycle Portsmouth is holding their festive fundraising dinner at St Jude’s Church Southsea this year.

On Friday 23rd November, St Jude’s church will be transformed into a gastronomic dining arena. Under the guidance of Kenwood’s development chef, Sophie Meechan, FoodCycle volunteers will prep, cook and serve a delicious three-course meal in this impressive setting. The evening will start in the foyer where there will be live music and drinks available from the bar. Dinner will be served in the church itself.

FoodCycle is a national award-winning charity that does invaluable work in feeding those members of our community in need, using fresh ingredients donated by supermarkets and Portsmouth’s independent food retailers. Not only does FoodCycle Portsmouth feed people with home-made healthy dishes, but more importantly they bring communities together through a shared meal and experience. Portsmouth’s organisation is volunteer-led and relies on donations and fundraising to continue their increasingly significant work.

Foodcycle Coordinator, Gail Baird said “This is a fantastic time to support an important local charity that is doing invaluable work for some of our community’s most vulnerable people while enjoying a great evening out. It is an opportunity for a relaxed, pre Christmas get-together with friends, family and colleagues at a very reasonable price!”

Every ticket sold is entered into a free prize draw, with outstanding prizes including free entry into the 2019 SimplyHealth Great South Run; a Waitrose & Partners voucher and Afternoon Tea for Two at Skylark Golf and Country Club – your £15.00* ticket is more than just a three course meal. Further prize draw tickets can be purchased; a cash only bar will be available on the night.

The evening will kick off at 19.00 for a 19.30 sit down. Tickets are available @ £15 (plus 90p booking fee) per person from  bit.ly/PortsmouthFoodCycle. Book individually or as a group now to avoid disappointment.
