Local band, Dutch Criminal Record, have just released the video for their latest single ‘Waiting on the Weekend.’ The video was shot in collaboration with photographer and videographer, Adam Prosser.
Joe Delaney-Stone from the band describes that “The song itself is essentially about working on the weekend. It takes a lot of influence from kinda flamenco guitar in the chords and we tried to imitate that with the production style when we were recording it. The video follows the same kinda principle of the lyric content. It was really fun to make but also very challenging considering some of our budget and time restraints.”
The EP with the same title is due for release on August 24th, the same day as their Victorious Festival performance. Alternatively, you can catch them at the Edge of the Wedge on September 5th for the EP launch party. I’m guessing that they didn’t want to distract attention from Victorious, it would be like one of your guests proposing on your wedding day!
Go and check the video out for yourself and give them a follow on their social media.
