The Fitness Festival returns to Southsea’s Castle Field on Saturday 3rd June and organisers have just announced that Portsmouth Football Club will be presenting the Sky Bet League Two trophy for a unique photo opportunity between 9:00am and 11:30am.
Now in its third year, SWEAT Southsea founders Luke and Tina Newton set out to create an event that would inspire and celebrate active and healthy lifestyles. The event is free for the public to attend, is family friendly with activities for the whole family and with its seafront location is a truly unique event.
Other Fitness Festival highlights include special guests Olympian Katy Sexton MBE and Paralympian Lauren Steadman with an on-stage Q&A and a healthy food market that includes national retailers Neat Nutrition and Frill with their dairy and sugar free ice cream. Former University of Portsmouth graduate Natalie Summers who is Bear Grylls’ trainer and co-author also appears with an on-stage HIIT class and there will be a chance to quiz Natalie on things fitness, business and Bear Grylls.
Pompey In The Community will also be at the Fitness Festival in full force. Visitors can expect a timetable of activities including walking football, penalty shootouts and inclusive sports to try throughout the day.
