Mass Collab / Portsmouth Boys Get EMI Release

Mass Collab, an 8 piece band comprising of musicians, engineers, tattoo artists, singers and rappers from Portsmouth and the USA have recently secured a release of their self-titled album through EMI subsidiary Ded Good Music. The band have seen numerous tracks from their album – released initially as production music – synced to programs aired on the BBC and also on Italian mafia series ‘Gomorrah’, a recent international hit on Sky Atlantic. Comprising of Southsea/Portsmouth residents Dan Bierton, Sam Richards (Southsea Alternative Choir) and Dan Waldren and with additional vocals from Jim Orrell and Scott Davies of Zooz Tattooz (zooztattooz.co.uk) in Queen Street, the album also features S.I.M.O.N., a rapper from Chicago, USA. With cover art designed by local designer Dave Millard (ldmdesign.com) the band have now secured a license from EMI to sell the album via Bandcamp. Support your local, international band and grab the album HERE.

I had an album of my tunes released on EMI last year as ‘production’ or library music but it was, essentially, an actual original album that I have been writing over the last 15 years
