PORTSMOUTH & SOUTHSEA'S No.1 for ARTS, CULTURE & LIFESTYLE

Southsea Comedy Festival

Southsea Comedy Festival have announced that comedian Russell Kane is to replace Rich Hall at the festival’s ‘Live in the Big Top’ show on Saturday 2nd August. Sadly Rich Hall has had to pull out due to personal reasons, although winner of the Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award and Barry Awards, Russell Kane will certainly soften the blow.

Eddie Izzard will open the Comedy Festival by performing his latest tour Force Majeure on 31st July and 1st August. Russell will join compère Rob Beckett who will be introducing Adam Hills, Marcus Brigstocke and rising star Dana Alexander.

Southsea Comedy Festival will form part of the build up to the Southsea Show which will also be held on Southsea Common. Tickets for both the Southsea Comedy Festival and the Southsea Show are on sale at www.thesouthseashow.co.uk or www.southseacomedyfestival.co.uk.

You can follow the Southsea Comedy Festival on Twitter @SouthseaComedy and the Southsea Show @SouthseaShow.
