This Friday from 7.45pm sees our new Strong Island Recordings label set to takeover the Edge of the Wedge until 2am with a seriously rad line up. Boneyards will be playing their first show in Portsmouth and have recently supported the current king of garage rock Ty Segall and released their ‘Human Nature EP’ on the Italian Beach Babes label (Mazes/Fear of Men/Eagulls/Novella). The trio cross between surf punk and snotty, fuzzed out garage rock. If you are in to Ty Segall, Coachwhips, Fidlar, Dead Kennedys and Jay Reatard, you’ll be happy.

Is Bliss fresh from tearing up the Joiners in Southampton return to Portsmouth for their first home town show since before Christmas. Incorporating their shoegaze/grunge sound the 3 piece bring a wall of noise with their feral, rabid, intense set. Is Bliss are almost finished recording their debut EP for Strong Island Recordings and set to be the first hometown act on the label Is Bliss.

Bellyeyesmile formerly Kinky Boot Beasts are an absolute treat yet also pain to pigeon hole. The 4 piece with Jack Capon taking duty as vocalist and drummer always bring down the house. Having just self released their ‘Pre-Made, Decay, Abstain, Behave’ EP and also recently being on the first line up list at Blissfields Festivals the guys are certainly set for big things in the future.

Come down and show your support whether you join a drunken, rabid, whirling sweaty mosh pit or simply by standing at the side and getting involved in spirit. Entry is just £3.00 and the bands kick off from around 8pm and finish at the latest 11pm. After that the Champagne Justice guys takeover for the rest of the evening until Edge of the Wedge kick us out at 2pm.
