LETS….PLAY….DAAAAAAAAARTS. What an evening. I’ve never witnessed such fine athletes in their element before. With comical walk on music supplied by Ben Miles (Men at Work & the theme tune for Neighbours for Aussie Dan & It’s Raining Men for Pete Miles were just classic) and a barrage of outrageous comments, one liners and just plain hilarity by Austen Mclean the night was off to a winner.

Charlie ‘The Mack’ Waddington was first up to the ‘Okey’ as defending champion, but was soon to be knocked out by the bookies favourite Nick ‘The Lightning Bolt’ Lightening. 2 hours of knock out heats, a fair few beers, aching faces from laughing at Austen on the mic and shouting a lot led to the incredible ending we were waiting for. A heated final between Darren “The Bank Manager’ Cocking & Nick ‘The Lightning Bolt’ Lightening threw the whole pub in to a frenzy. Heavy support for both players was chanted from the side line as we witnessed the numbers dwindle round the board till the inevitable happened and Nick clocked out ahead Darren to take the legendary title of Southsea Darts Master.
