PORTSMOUTH & SOUTHSEA'S No.1 for ARTS, CULTURE & LIFESTYLE

Delivering for Culture

A very important meeting ‘Delivering for Culture’ Culture Matters, concerning Portsmouth and it’s cultural future, is to be held on 25th February from 18:30 to 21:00 at Priory Sports Centre, entrance in Fawcett Road, Southsea.

“Last year the Portsmouth Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) an organisation for the council, university, police, health and community groups in the city published the Vision for Portsmouth, a plan to improve the quality of life for all those who live, work and visit the city for the next ten years.

The Cultural Consortium supported the development of this process in preparing the aspirational document which sits alongside the plan.

For the first time, culture has been identified as a key priority in this vision for the city. The Cultural Consortium have now been tasked to suggest how the vision can be delivered with a new partnership to be formed to deliver on the city’s commitments.”

This open to the public meeting will allow local people to participate in the process and make suggestions and idea, a perfect opportunity to participate in the cultural direction and future of our city. To book a place please contact Sharon Watling on 023 9284 1581.
