Apologies for the late notice but tonight between 8pm and 10pm Le Cafe Parisien will host the fifth Cafe Artistique in Portsmouth. Cafe Artistique has been developed by Axis (an online resource for contemporary art and artists) and is presented in Portsmouth by Cibas and Portsmouth City Council’s Arts and Cultural Development Service. Tonight’s event will feature south coast artist Delaine Le Bas discussing her recent work and then leading a discussion around the nature of art education, professional practice and developing an international profile. Artist-in-residence for the evening, Portsmouth’s own Sally Taylor, will produce a creative response to the evening’s discussion.
