Portsmouth City Council’s Events Team are looking for local bands to play as part of this year’s Live at the Bandstand free outdoor music programme on Southsea Seafront.

For 2009 the Events Team want to broaden the opportunity for local bands to be part of the programme, and will be running open auditions, a bit like Battle of the Bands, to check out the local musical talent with the winners of each heat going through to the final where a panel of judges will select 4 bands for a showcase at the bandstand.
