Introducing Turtles Don’t Like Plastic

Introducing Turtles Don’t Like Plastic

Brought to you by Todos Teatro inside Hotwalls Studios’ Round Tower, join us for the finale to our Green June programme with Turtle’s Don’t Like PlasticShow and Workshop.

The Show
Following a mysterious storm, a turtle finds herself, trapped on a strange island made of plastic that is forever growing. Can she escape? Can she clean up the island? And who is the strange monster that lives there? She’s determined to find out!

Physical theatre, puppetry and clowning combine in this magical under the sea adventure for ages 3+ and their families.

This show is inspired by the Pacific trash vortex a vast patch of plastic pollution in the north Pacific and the devastating impact of plastic marine life.

Doors open at 11:00 am, 11:15 am-12:00 pm Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June.

The Workshop
If you’ve already enjoyed Todos Teatro’s show Turtle’s don’t Like Plastic, this workshop will complement the world and themes of the piece. If you haven’t, not to worry! This fun workshop is a perfect stand-alone experience.

In this immersive craft and drama workshop children will use recycled materials to make their own sea creature puppet- and learn how to bring it to life.

As a group they’ll use their puppets to create a magical underwater scene- with energetic games with lots of movement, that will spark their imagination and creativity.

Parents and carers can leave children with us for the duration of the workshop. Please note one adult may accompany each child free of charge at the workshop if they wish.

1:00pm-3:00pm Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June.

The Company
Todos Teatro (In English ‘Everyone’s Theatre’)  tell stories about the world we live in rooted in a love of storytelling, comedy, magic and movement that cross boundaries of language and culture.
