There is something special about traditional brush lettering and local creative Lucy Davies really knows all about it, who after teaching a workshop out in Copenhagen in April thought it was time she hosted a brush lettering workshop here at home in Portsmouth. Lucy is a lettering artist, blogger and the face behind Little Old Goose and she will be sharing her incredible skills during an upcoming workshop on the 4th July. You will have no doubt seen Lucy’s handiwork around Hayling Island, Portsmouth Southsea & further afield at many different cafes, bars, restaurants and more. Now is your chance to have a go.

So if you are looking to try your hand at something new or add to your creative skill set, come along to Introduction to Brush Lettering Workshop located upstairs in the Restaurant 69, in Southsea. The class will start with the basic strokes, shapes and drills, then develop into letter forms and numbers. There will be plenty of help and guidance throughout. You will then go on to form words and some phrases for your final piece. You will be well on your way to developing your own Brush Lettering style by the end of the workshop!

As part of the workshop you will get your own brush, a pot of Indian Ink and guide sheets to take home, along with a glass of wine and some nibbles during the class too.
