Competition: Twelve Days Of Christmas with My Name Is Leila

DAY FOUR

Between the 1st and the 12th of December, each day we will be featuring a local business who have kindly donated a prize for the competition. Each day we will be asking a question inspired by the business and at the end of the twelve days you will be invited to submit your answers. We will then select one lucky winner who will take home all twelve prizes, just in time for Christmas.

Leila Kemp is a Southsea based illustrator who loves drawing animals especially bears – though with a slight twist. She generally works in pen and ink and has been spotted all over Portsmouth over the past few years with work popping up in trendy hot spots including Play Dead and The Makers’ Merchant. You can check out our previous feature for Leila’s fantastic lion mural in Southsea Coffee Co on Osborne Road.

This Christmas Leila has created a series of one off sketches which are going to be made available on her social media accounts with a new piece available every day in the build up to Christmas. Leila has kindly donated a framed Koala sketch to the competition. To be in with a chance to win the prize then you must correctly answer the question below.

Q4) What is the scientific name for a koala?

You can submit your answers to stuart@strong-island.co.uk. Please note that we will not consider any entries which do not have all twelve answers so please wait until the last feature before emailing in. We are unable to send the prize in the post so please only enter if you are in a position to collect the prizes in store or have them collected on your behalf.

Im a local girl with big love for her beautiful city. A Scuba Diving Instructor and Travel Writer/Author by trade and now a trainee teacher, I love being busy and filling my days up with as much as possible. Writing for Strong Island in my free time helps me stay connected with whats going on in Portsmouth and gives me an opportunity to tell everyone about all of the great things that go on here.
