A creative and musical personality, Richard Morris, 23 from Portsmouth is set to play a set at Southsea’s Three Bar bar this bank holiday weekend and will be introducing some fun and heartfelt notes to get us all in the holiday mood.
Describing himself as an honest musician with songs written about things that have really happened in his life, the singer/songwriter aims to produce feel good, catchy melodies with inspirations of artists such as Norah Jones, Dire Straights and Ray Lamontagne.
By day the European Surf Manager for Star Surf Camp’s, Richard boasts of an extreme personality in all senses of the word. His music is reflective of this and the work he puts in as an artist.
Richard recently performed at the Square Tower in Portsmouth to launch his debut EP release, ‘Await the Sunset’.
Already making a big name for himself on the acoustic scene, Richard has supported the likes of Syd Arthur, Josie Ghost, Marco Spiezia as well as making guest appearances at the Isle of Wight festival and Butser Festival.
Richard recently won ‘Record of the Week’ on ‘BBC Isle of Wight Radio’ and premiered his single, ‘What is Love’ on BBC Radio Solent.
Busking his way through University, Richard’s music has now become so successful that he is set to go on a European Tour this year and will be updating us with travel blogs and new releases as he goes along.
