Only one day to go until the opening of the Creating Balance Exhibition at Aspex Gallery! We’ve already mentioned about how the original exhibition that was installed in London and Winchester has dramatically grown with brand new work for the Portsmouth install and the list of new work keeps on growing. As well as many new photographic concepts and ideas by the project collaborators there will also be new, unique, customised Anglepoise lamps on display for the first time. We got a sneak peek of Barry and Roo Abrook‘s customised lamp on Facebook today, great to see their own unique style expressed in 3D too. Their collaborator Rob Luckins is also working on a special lamp too which at the moment has only been hinted to on Instagram, going to be good.

If you pop down tomorrow night for the opening celebration you’ll be able to pick up free Creating Balance booklets and postcard sets, food and some extra special drinks. As much as we love warm cans of Carlsberg at exhibitions for tomorrow night, in keeping with the collaborative theme of the project itself, you’ll be able to try a beer that is a collaboration between All About Tea and Brewhouse and Kitchen. The tea infused beer has been brewed in Portsmouth and is well worth a look.
