Funktifino has been a much loved Southsea Saturday night out for many people for many years. When I first moved to Portsmouth in 1995 the night soon became a firm favourite with my group of friends spending much of the late 90s there. Funktifino will be celebrating their 17th birthday on the Saturday 3rd of November and just like their other big birthdays previously they have someone very special visiting Albert Road, with this year seeing Soul II Soul’s Jazzie B taking control of the dance floor with his first ever visit to Portsmouth. Too good to miss. As well as the allstar Funktifino DJs up in there too there is also Funktifino stalwart Hand Solo still holding it down with live percussion duties like he has for much of the 17 years of Funktifino.
