Alison Gardiner Limited Edition Royal Wedding Mug

Alison lives and works in Southsea and is an internationally recognised illustrator and designer who has her own particularly quirky and unique style. Originally trained as a textile designer at West Surrey College of Art and Design, over the years Alison has applied her art to a variety of media – she has illustrated children’s books, consumer magazines, printed textiles and china. She has also worked with a number of well known companies and charities including: The BBC, The National Trust, World Wildlife Foundation (WWF), RSPCA, RSPB, Second Nature, Elgin Court and Dunoon Ceramics. Her bespoke china is soon to be stocked in many prestigious outlets to include Harrods and John Lewis, as well as local Southsea companies Interior Trading and The Good Cook Shop featuring well known attractions in Portsmouth & Southsea including Portsmouth Harbour and the Spinnaker Tower and has also recently designed a Southsea mug which features the popular Kings Theatre on Albert Road. Alison also produced the fantastic Southsea Map Print shown.

Recently Alison has created a range of products for the Royal Collection which is part of the Royal Household and manages public access to such palaces as Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle. To commemorate the Royal Wedding in April Alison has created a new design which features Kate and William in the Royal glass coach returning to Buckingham Palace after the ceremony. Each fine bone china mug has been hand-made in Stoke On Trent, England, using traditional methods which have remained unchanged for generations. Each mug features a 22 carat gold rim, are individually numbered and come with a gift box.
