Portsmouth and Southsea’s Solent Camera Club was first founded back in 1966 and to this day is still going strong, now with the inclusion of digital as well as film photography. The club is based in Southsea Community Centre and has regular meetings throughout the winter months at 7:45pm every Friday. The meetings include all things photographic including practical tutorials, studio evenings, club competitions, photographer presentations, etc. During the summer months of June, July & August every Friday evening the club goes out taking photos out and about Portsmouth and beyond. If you are interested in joining this really friendly club, you can be a beginner to an expert, digital or film and cameras of all types, pop along to a meeting as non-members can come along for two club evenings before joining (you just need to pay the usual £2 per evening towards club costs).
